Paxos
Festival
The
festival was instituted in 1985, and includes classical music
performance by young scholars who can showcase their work
through it. These happening take place each September at different
locations throughout the island: at the museum and the harbour
of Gaios, as well as the Elementary School of Loggos.
Hot
Springs
These
sources, which have long been known to the inhabitants of
the island, spring forth from the subsoil and empty into the
sea. Most of them are sulphurous and have been turned into
pools. Today they are used for their therapeutic properties,
especially in the treatment of rheumatisms. The most important
are at Ozia, Giana and Glyfada.
